Meet Steve

Hi, I'm Steve.
I'm a psychotherapist based in Paddington, Sydney, working with adults navigating anxiety, relationships, life transitions and the general complications that come with being human.
My background includes counselling, education and wellbeing, and I've spent much of my professional life helping people make sense of challenges and find practical ways forward.
My approach
I don't believe therapy needs to feel overly formal or intimidating.
I'm interested in understanding what's really happening in your world, what you've already tried and what might be getting in the way.
We work together, exploring your thoughts, feelings, relationships and behavioural patterns, while finding useful ways to approach the things you'd like to change.
That doesn't mean there's always a quick answer. Some situations need time, reflection and patience.
But I believe therapy can be thoughtful, supportive and genuinely useful without being unnecessarily complicated.
Working together
I work with adults in person in Paddington and offer online sessions.
If you're considering therapy, you're welcome to get in touch to discuss whether my approach is a good fit for what you're looking for people and help them become more confident in themselves and their lives.
What I love
I’m an avid traveller, wine enthusiast, snowboarder, scuba diver, hiker, beach goer and dog lover. I play guitar terribly and can talk trash in almost every sport, particularly basketball and hockey - yes, “ice hockey”. I am happily married to an Aussie and I have a wonderful stepdaughter at Uni.
